Update was from June 29th
And week 6 of the transfer has come and gone. These transfers are going by faster and faster...
Monday
we went to the park and played kickball with our zone! It was so fun
getting to spend time with the zone before some of the elders go home.
It's been super hot the last 2 weeks though. It's all anyone can talk
about. I am going to be such a wimp when it comes to the heat when I get
back to Texas!
Tuesday I was on exchange with
Sister Connor in Thomas Lake. Some of their other sisters needed help so
we went on a mini exchange with them. An exchange within an exchange!
We
were outside walking for most of the day Thursday so we have some
pretty funny tan lines starting to form. We have been drinking a ton to
stay hydrated! We're hoping it rains again soon to cool everything down
again cuz this heat is crazy!
Thursday was
leadership calls. Next transfer, I'll just be a regular missionary, but
Sister Johnson is training! Straight from being trained to training! She
can do it- she is a great missionary and I am excited for her! We went
to trainer's training Friday afternoon and I got to sit out in the hall
with the other companions. Sis Connor was out there so it was good to
get to talk to her before she goes home today.
Saturday
was the Lyons' baptism! Super cute kids we've been teaching. The mom is
a returning less active and the dad isn't a member (yet) and we loved
teaching the kids!
Also on Saturday, we taught
one of our investigators, Peggy. She has a sad story, so the gospel
will truly bless her life. Before we left, she gave each of us a little
angel statue because she loves us so much. It was so sweet! This is the
second angel someone has given me. I love that I get to act as one of
Heavenly Father's angels to bring His children back to him.
Sunday
I spoke in Sacrament and said goodbye to everyone. It was bittersweet
because Arlington will always hold a place in my heart!
Love, Sister Tennant
